The Hennepin Overland Railway Historical Society is a non-profit all-volunteer organization that relies on admission fees and donations to support its operational costs. You can help support the museum by volunteering, donating, joining, or lending us exhibits for our museum.

Volunteer

Can't afford membership? Help out in whatever way you are able! Volunteers are not permitted to run trains or gain free admission to operating sessions unless it is in a working capacity. If it weren't for our volunteers we wouldn't have this website!

Donate

Monetary donations and donations of railroading memorabilia and model railroad equipment further our cause. Depending on your situation your donation may be tax deductible. Under some circumstances you will realize MORE value for model railroading equipment or memorabilia by donating it than selling wholesale.* The Hennepin Overland regularily provides guidance on how to appraise collections for tax or estate purposes.* We'll take anything, but check out the wanted page for items we particularly are in need of.

Have interesting, unique, or historically significant model railroading equipment or railroad memorabilia that you’re not ready to part with just yet? Depending on what you have the Hennepin Overland may be interested in putting your goods on display at our facility.
